CM Punjab Program for Students Warm Clothes
In a thoughtful move to combat the harsh winters, the Punjab government has launched a heartwarming initiative aimed at providing warmth and comfort to schoolchildren. From January 13 onwards, an estimated 21,000 students from public schools in districts like Lahore, Narowal, Rajanpur, and Layyah will benefit from this program.
Under the guidance of the Chief Minister, this program is set to distribute essential winter clothing items including sweaters, jackets, shoes, and uniforms. This initiative not only aims to shield the children from the cold but also ensures they can attend school comfortably during the winter season.
The distribution is coordinated through the collaboration of the Bait-ul-Mal Department and the Social Welfare Department, highlighting the government’s commitment to social welfare. Schools that are part of this initiative have been carefully selected to ensure that assistance reaches those most in need.
Additionally, the Punjab School Education Department has taken a flexible approach to school uniforms during the colder months. A recent directive allows students across all public and private schools the freedom to wear any type and color of warm clothing. This temporary relaxation of uniform rules covers jackets, sweaters, coats, hats, socks, and shoes, enabling students to dress warmly and appropriately for school during winter.
This initiative is a part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life and education for children across the province, making sure that winter’s chill doesn’t become a barrier to their education.
